About Us
We are an elite non-profit cheerleading organization. Steel Athletics Cheer was formally known as Steel Valley Cheer, founded by Barb Horvath and Danielle DeGeorge! They brought Steel Valley Cheer to the Struthers community back in 2015 and dedicated 9 years to the program, winning a total of 15 National titles between all of their teams, as well as 4 One Finals titles. They have taken non-profit cheerleading to a new level and have changed the game for Recreational Cheerleading in the valley. In early 2024 Barb
and Danielle decided after many years of this program to retire from the organization. With Barb and Danielle retiring from the program, Dylan Bond and Drew Kiss the new co-owners and CEO's of Steel Athletics Cheer have retired the name Steel Valley
Cheer and renamed the new and upcoming program to Steel Athletics Cheer. Dylan and Drew wanted to retire the Legacy of Steel Valley Cheer as it is the original program we have all grown to love for the past 9 years. Steel Athletics Cheer is going to take
Recreational Cheerleading to a completely different level this season. Bringing new and fresh ideas, new uniforms and a completely different mindset. Dylan and Drew were previously professional cheerleaders both working for NCA and UCA Staff,
They both also cheered division 1 in college at Bowling Green State University. Dylan is a proud alumni of Steel Valley Cheer, and has been coaching for the organization for 5 years. Dylan was also previously the head cheerleading coach for the Struthers Little Wildcats. During his time at SLW he introduced stunting as well as innovative choreography. Dylan also brought his team home as Grand National Champions back in 2023. Drew has coached along side Barb and Danielle as well, and even helped bring home 5
National titles for Steel Valley Cheer. He was previously the head cheerleading coach for Springfield Local Schools, turning their cheerleading program around. They are extremely excited to start this season and revamp this program!

Recreation cheerleading is a competition cheerleading organization that gives parents and athletes competitive cheerleading at low prices! Think of Rec Cheer as a less expensive version of All Star cheerleading with equal opportunities

They have an exceptional vision for this program, which aims to provide children in the area with a safe and enriching environment to develop their skills and talents in the sport of cheerleading. With extensive experience in cheerleading, having participated in high school, college, and professional settings, they are committed to helping you achieve your goals.
